Production update!

Zoozers!

We're nearly 6 weeks into our current pre-sale and we're almost sold out of our first production batch! Don't worry, bikes will still be available as fast as we can produce them, but they will be coming in waves. Let us explain...

We've developed a rolling production schedule that helps us build up inventory of parts with long lead times and then build the rest of each bike in short run batches that will be shipped every month. We are able to increase the size of those batches as we see more demand. I made a little video where I explain this in person. You can watch it here:

Thanks to you all, that demand has been extreme! As stated in the video, we are almost sold out of the production batch that delivers in April (in the video I said 26 bikes when I recorded it 3 days ago, but now we are down to 14!). You will be able to continue buy bikes even after this batch is sold out, but the bikes after this first 14 will be delivered in May (again, more delaits in the video in the link above).

I know this seems like a long time to wait, but there has been a massive spike in demand for bicycles in the entire world due to the dramatic changes brought on by COVID-19. At the end of the day, a bicycle is an assemblage of parts and all of those parts can come from many places. a slow down from one parts threatens an entire supply chain.

Luckily, this isn't our first rodeo (it's our second, but we nailed the first one ;) and we have excellent suppliers who we are able to work on shortening those lead times and even getting creative with ordering all of our parts. Our rolling production allows us to account for any slow downs or surprises that might occur.

This surging demand for all kinds of bikes isn't just affecting us -- it's affecting the whole world. Bike shops, large distributors, and even mega corporations like Trek are struggling with the same issue. Here is a fantastic article that lends some insight:

In the end though, we are right on schedule for hundreds of new Zoozers to be rolling in the spring of 2021. We really can't thank you all enough for the support and confidence in us and we can't wait to see all of you on our bikes.

As always, feel free to contact us with any questions you have -- email, instagram, facebook, whatever -- we talk and we want to hear from you!

Keep it Zoozy,

Chris
