2021 Urban Ultralight 1100
2021 was our breakout year in full production which saw the first release of the Urban Ultralight 1100, what we call Gen1. This model featured a squarewave controller and came with the option for high or low handlebars. Featuring the beloved Maxxis Hookworm 24x2.5" tire. The UU1100 proved to be our number one seller.
A must have
Great ride, easy to customize and looks cool as hell! Wait can’t forget about the customer service, top notch….
Crossed 1,500 miles today
In my 3 months of ridership, I’d swear on a stack of mix tapes that Zooz is the s*it! Life changing really. Just hop on, feel younger, and get where I’m going fast! Now it wasn’t all sunshine and lollipops straight out of box in my case. Two electrical problems arose early, one where the brakes weren’t completely disengaging the motor, the other, motor would just switch off and die. Steven @ Zooz is great, he mailed me all new parts, to by process of elimination, swap out parts and source the problem, as Zooz had yet to encounter these particular problems. Never did find the source, but the solution, was plugging in a wired headlight. Zooz on!
1100 times the fun
My Zooz 1100 is my second e-bike but most definitely my favorite. Cruising speeds between 28-31 mph. I have hit 34 mph a few times. It handles incredibly well. All around a great bike.
Holy Sh#t this thing is amazing!!!
Absolutely amazing. Smokes every other ebike I find.
So much fun
Makes me feel like a kid again
Love it - everyone loves it - it's the best.
The 1100 is awesome!
Love the bike! The 1100 is an absolute Joy to ride! Looks, speed, and range make this an ideal e-bike for everyone. Extremely happy with my purchase.
Makes me feel like a kid again, but a bad-ass biker sort of kid, and I'm 47! As of this review, I have put just over 600 miles on my UU1100 (2021) with 27.5 hours of riding time. I commute roughly 30 miles a day through the mad rush hour traffic of Las Vegas. The only maintenance I have performed so far has been fixing a flat from a thorn, and replacing the front disc that got bent in a collision. The back tire is getting slick, and the brakes could probably use some minor adjusting, but after all the riding on rough city streets, that is to be expected, and actually has exceeded my expectations. So it's fun and it's solid. The ride is smooth, fast and exhilarating. I love how the long seat allows for many different riding positions. At first I felt like the seat was too firm, but I have grown accustomed to it. Just be prepared to use your legs to absorb the impact of bumps, which is something I actually prefer because it makes me use my otherwise idle legs. That's right, these bikes are throttle beasts as pedalling quickly becomes superfluous due to the power of the motor. I pedal mostly from dead stops, just a few revolutions to help reduce the battery drain. Speaking of the battery, range is as advertised: on throttle alone, except for the occasional pedal kick-off, I have managed around 30 miles with 1 "bar" of juice (out of 4 total) remaining. One one occasion, the display showed no bars, at which point the throttle cut off, but full pedal assist was still able to carry me the last mile. Not once have I been stranded. I should also mention that pedalling without assistance is possible thanks to the smooth roll, but going much of a distance would be a chore. All in all, I absolutely love my Zooz! I get fist-pumps of appreciation practically every time I take it out. I let a friend of mine who had been researching ebikes for several months ride it for a few minutes, and he seemed fairly impressed: but really he was holding his cards close to his chest, because two days later he texted to tell me he had just placed an order for a Zooz of his own. I could go on and on about what makes this bike so special, but until you've ridden one for yourself, you can't truly know. Once you have though, prepare to be blown away!
Five stars!!! Get itttttt
I have been riding my Zooz 1100 for over 3 months now. These guys built a bad ass E-bike that rides like a BMX. Seriously I ride this in Hollywood Ca. in the middle of the street with the cars. I’m always faster than traffic and I also don’t have to wear a helmet or register it. I choose to pick up my girlfriend on the Zooz over taking the car because she is only a few miles away from the house and it is so much more fun to be doing 30+ on the Zooz ripping through traffic than stuck in traffic. I personally believe that this is the best built E-Bike on the market today. The craftsmanship is light years ahead of my other e-bikes. Whether you buy one or not let’s all take a moment to be grateful that there is people out there like Zooz keeping life damn fun :)
